July is now the time to start those Christmas Gifts.

Background - Off-white or tone-on-tone in ecru
Tree - Green
Trunk - Brown
After you have made the tree, decorate it as you see fit. (Stitching, beads, charms, appliques).
2 pieces of Background - 2"x3" pieces (background at bottom with trunk) - A
2 pieces of Background - 1" x 7" pieces (side pieces attached to tree rectangle)- B
2 pieces of Background - 3-1/4"" x 7" pieces (attached to green) - C
Green - 7" x 6" (tree) - D
Brown - 1-1/2" x 2" - E

Join A to E on 2" sides. Set aside. To attach the background to the green piece, mark the center top of the green. Place the marked diagonal line of the background from the center top to the bottom corner. (Check to see where it will be when unfolded.) Stich on the drawn line on the background. (Should be a rectangle when completed). Sew the two side strips on, trimming to fit width of 6-1/2". Sew trunk piece to bottom. Decorate as you desire.
