Hours:10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday
Categories:
Limitations: One entry per category/technique; may be entered. Three
per individual; one entry per group; one entry per two person team.
Ownership determines the qualified entrant (applies to the two person
category only). All entries shall contain quilting unless otherwise
specified.
A. Bed
Quilts - Suitable for use on a bed; smallest side minimum is 60
inches.1) Pieced and Quilted 2) Mixed Techniques or Applique and Quilted
B. Wall Quilts - Designed for wall display 1) Pieced
and Quilted 2) Appliqued and Quilted 3) Mixed Techniques and Quilted
C. Art Quilt
Must be made of three layers of fabric and quilted;
and it is intended to hang on the wall. 1) Small - Perimeter of
160 inches or less 2) Large - Perimeter exceeds 160 inches
D. Pictorial - An art quilt that illustrates
a recognizable image (such as, wildlife, flower, etc.)
E. Miniatures - A miniature contains the design elements and techniques
of a
full size quilt, but is scaled to miniature proportions. Not to exceed
24" per side.
F. Lullaby -
A quilt made for use on a child's bed
G. Other
Techniques - Includes whole cloth and entries with no quilting.
(Examples: Yo-yo, cathedral window, crazy quilts (tied), block
of the month and kit quilts.)
H. Clothing - patchwork or appliqué technique
with or without quilting
I. Kids - Entry made by a child 16 years old or
younger. (Not judged; exhibition only)
J. Group -
A quilt made by a team of three or more quilters.
K. Two Person - A quilt made my two individuals.

Qualifications:
All entries must hang for the duration of the show and may not be removed
for any reason prior to the designated pick-up time.
All entries must be entered
in the name of the maker(s).All entries must be clean
and made of fabric. Soiled quilts will be neither judged nor displayed. No special handling or
hanging requirements will be observed. No rigid framing is allowed. Unacceptable are quilts

Your quilt's safety and security are important to us. The quilts will be shown at Pellisssippi Community College and 24-hour security will be provided. White-gloved hosts and hostesses will be on hand during viewing hours.

Judging:
Quilts will be judged for
overall appearance, construction techniques, color, design, and quiting
stitch. The judge reserves the right to not award all prizes and to
re-categorize entries. The show is open for all levels of quilters with
multiple categories for winning.
