Quilting Assistance: Services, Education, & links
The buttons in the area below are placed for your convenience to aid you in your search for quilt related topics or to connect you with retail quilt shops in our area. We urge our website visitors to explore and expand their knowledge just as our fellow members do on a regular basis. Our major focus is to share our quilting knowledge and experience with those we encounter on our quilting journeys. We encourage our visitors to share favorite links with us so we may add them to the list.
Our most recent tip, the "Guide to Textile Stain Removal," came to us from an unexpected source in New Hampshire! Corrine Stevens is a 14-year-old member of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Corrine and her troop have been working to earn their Textile Artist Badges this summer. Corrine's mother, Nancy, wanted Smoky Mountain Quilters to know that her daughter had found the Resources Page on our website to be an extremely valuable tool in linking Corrine to websites that answered her questions and expanded her knowledge base. She said it was a big help to her as she did her research and the projects associated with the badge. Since we had helped her, Corrine decided to help us by sending the stain removal link that probably will come in handy for our our members and visitors. Thank you, Corrine! The link now has a button on our list.
A second girl scout working toward earning her Textile Artist Badge has discovered another site featuring stain removal tips and has shared it with us. We are adding the site found by Emma McCoy. We are happy that girl scouts and others are finding our links helpful!
